NELLIE PAWLUK (nee Chwartacki) December 24, 1928 - May 24, 2001 Suddenly at Selkirk & District General Hospital, Nellie Pawluk, aged 72 years, passed away with her loving husband by her side. Nellie was born in Winnipeg Beach in 1928. In 1948 she married Bill Pawluk and they later settled on a farm in Petersfield where they raised five children. Nellie was a member of St. Annes Roman Catholic Church in Petersfield. She was known for her warm hospitality and generous nature. She enjoyed cooking, canning, reading and had a real passion for gardening. Above all else, Nellie treasured spending time with her family. She was very proud of all her children and her grandchildren who adored her. She will be lovingly remembered always in our hearts. Nellie leaves to cherish her memory her husband and best friend Bill, her children Barb (Walter), Bob (Sandi), Cheryl (Gerry), Cindy (Darrell), Sharlene (Ewan) her grandchildren Kim (Brad), Mark, Jordan, Brennan, Ryan, Kaitlin and Janessa. She is also survived by her mother Polly Chwartacki, her brother John and numerous family and friends. Nellie was predeceased by her father Peter in 1960 and her brother Walter in 2000. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, May 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church in Petersfield on Wednesday May 30 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Boguslaw Wardzinksi officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. We will love and remember you forever and we will miss your gentle voice and your caring touch. You have left nothing behind but fond memories of a wife, mother, Baba and friend too beautiful to put to words. You have earned your place in heaven, and with that thought and your memory we say, "Until we meet again". The family would like to express appreciation to the doctors and staff at Selkirk & District General Hospital.
