Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION SARA GALLOWAY It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and grandmother Marion Galloway at the Riverview Health Centre on Thursday May 24, 2001. Marion will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years Perc; daughters Susan Leeson, Jane Holman (Ken) and son Scott Galloway (Lise) and her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Wint Newman. Marion took great pride and joy in her grandchildren Charlene Richardson (Marc), Ryan Leeson (Andrea), Lance Leeson, Brent Leeson, Jordan Holman, Jennifer Holman, Paula Holman, Nicole Galloway and Erin Galloway and great-grandchildren Veronica Leeson and Trinity Richardson. Marion was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario and took her training as a nurse at Port Arthur General Hospital. She married Perc in 1944 and after the war they made Winnipeg their home. Marion loved her family first and foremost but also loved spending time with friends, summers at Lake of the Woods, nursing, her home and a "good" party. Marion shared a special friendship with her classmates of 1943 to whom she was affectionately known as "Morrie". A special thank you to the staff on 3 East at the Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion during her stay there. We would also like to thank Gordon and Evelyn Holman as well as our extended family, friends, and neighbours who provided us with so much support during her illness. Memorial Service will take place Tuesday, May 29 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Johns Cathedral, 135 Anderson Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg Manitoba R3C 2B7.
