JOHN FEWCHUK It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving father and Gedo, John Fewchuk, aged 89 years, a lifelong resident of Kirkness, MB. John was born and raised in Kirkness with three brothers, Bill (Millie), Mike and Nick (Martha). He married Annie Drobot in 1934 and had two daughters, Virginia and Dawn. He worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mills for 37 years and also farmed and grew a large garden with vegetables for all his family. John loved to go for rides in the country, play bingo and have a good game of cribbage. He was a very good cook and we thank you Dad for all the cabbage rolls and dill pickles. John was loved and was very generous to his grandchildren, Guy, Ann and John. A special thanks to son-in-law Joe who Dad was very close to and Aunty Victoria for always being there for Dad. Thank you Dad for all the great times and memories. John was predeceased by his father Peter, mother Polly, and his beloved wife Annie. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with Rev. Matthew Neufeld officiating. Viewing at the chapel for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Ashfield Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Betel Home for all their care and kindness.
