Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISAAC KLASSEN Surrounded by his loving family, Isaac Klassen passed away peacefully at his residence on May 25, 2001 at the age of 73. He was born in Horndean, MB on May 19, 1928. Isaac retired from the City of Winnipeg in 1992 after 26 years. He worked in construction all his life. During his retirement, he enjoyed walking, reading, and spending time with his wife, daughter and granddaughters. He was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Katherine Klassen; sister Eva Gibbings; and brothers Wesley and Billy. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Alfreida; daughter Kimberly MacDonald; granddaughters, Robyn (Christopher) Mead, and Tracy MacDonald; great-granddaughters, Taylor and Kennedy Mead; sisters, Dora Auburn, Anne (John) Wiebe, and Tina Becker; and brothers, Edwin (Ann) and Art. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Darryl Moar, David, Popien, Peter Popien, Christopher Mead, Christopher Reimer, and Russel H. Starr. Honorary Pallbearers are Harry Reimer, Gene Reimer, Bill Reimer, John Wiebe, Lyle Popien, and Ken Ewasiuk. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Brooklands Recreation Centre. The family would like to thank Dr. Johnson, Dr. Moorehouse, and also his nurses Barb, Shirley, and Nola for their kindness and support.
