MONICA VERONICA ALCOREZA-BARROGA Entered this life May 7, 1908, San Marcelino, Manila, Philippines. Peacefully on May 28, 2001 at the age of 93, our beloved mother went home to Gods eternal kingdom. Monica was predeceased by her husband Antonio Barroga and by her sister Mariquita Alcoreza. Lola Moneng (as she is fondly called by her grandchildren) will be missed and be remembered by her daughters, Lucia (Reynaldo - deceased) de Guzman, Julita (Greg) Penueco, Jovita (Manuel) Rosario and Natividad Barroga; grandchildren, Susie (Gener) Mapue, Irene (Jose) Perono, Michele de Guzman, Richard Rosario and Anthony Rosario; great-grand-children, Marianne, Jonathan, Angelica, Joseph, Joanner, Nathaniel and Matthew; great-great-grandchild Vincent. Monica left to be mourned by her brother Manuel (Rodela) Alcoreza; sister-in-law Mercedes (Leonardo - deceased) Fong, nephews and nieces in the Philippines. Monicas prayers for long life and sound mind have been answered. She constantly gives thanks to God for everything. A full-time mother for four generations, she has provided generously to her whole family doing it all with a very cheerful heart. Monicas family would like to express their appreciation to the following: Dr. I. Mohammed, the nurses and nurses aid at the Concordia Hospital, Cathy Ritchie and home care workers who helped take care of her. Lamay will be held on Friday, June 8, from 6:00 p.m. till 12:00 midnight.
