JOHN PATRICK GREENIZAN It is with great sadness we announce that on Monday, May 28, 2001, John passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 59. A bright and beautiful light has gone out of our lives. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and took special pride in his grandchildren. Although Johns disease attacked his body, he refused to let it attack his soul. He remained a perfect gentleman right to the end. He will be remembered for his patience and dry humour. John is survived and will be missed by his wife Lavina; daughters, Laurie (Wesley From), Cindy (Bill Smith) and Tammy (Michael Trucan) grandchildren, Michael, Amy, Dustin, Teagan, Taylor, Shane, Austin, Zachary, Tanner and Kalie; his mother Ellen Greenizan; sisters, Doreen, Pauline, Stella (Thom), Nancy; sister-in-law Bea and numerous extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Fred and his brother Owen. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m. Funeral on Thursday May 31, at 10:00 a.m., both at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 425 Rosseau East, Transcona, Father Roy officiating. Special thanks to the nurses at Concordia Hospital for your care and concern. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. May God be with you, John.
