ROBERT HASLUND August 11, 1918 - May 27, 2001 Peacefully on May 27, 2001 Robert passed away at Concordia Hospital. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Rachel in 1986 and brother Ewlad. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Pat (Michael) Kerekesch and Debbie (Kerry) Neely. Grandchildren, Dori-Lyn (Gary) Henaire, Monika (Geoff) Hoddinott, Krista (Joe) Hicks, Laura and Jennifer Neely. Great-grandchildren, Megan, Trevor, Kayla Henaire, Ashley and Dustin Hicks. He is also survived by three sisters, Lil Torske, Mildred (Evert) Johnson, Myrtle Mager; sisters-in-law, Dorthy (Roy) Fox, Margrette Haslund; and brother-in-law Ken Davies. Along with many nieces and nephews. Born in Eugene, OR, he came to Canada as a child. Robert lived in Inwood, Teulon and last in Winnipeg, residing with Pat and Michael. Robert worked in the trucking industry for many years driving a gravel truck and later working for Teulon Transfer. Robert enjoyed fishing and spent many summers at Lake of the Prairies with Debbie and Kerry catching the big ones. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30 at 2:30 p.m. in the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Inwood, Pastor Barry Rasmussen will officiate. Interment will follow in the Inwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary and Trevor Henaire, Geoff Hoddinott, Joe Hicks, Lorne and Sharon Harley. We love you Pops. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
