MICHAEL CHENNELL Peacefully, on May 25, 2001, Michael passed away, aged 57, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his family, daughter Tracy (Gordon) and son David (Bonnie) also his sister Leslie in Australia and brother Simon in England. Michael was predeceased by his mother, father and sister Vivienne. Michael grew up in Guidford, Surrey, England and joined the Army (REME) travelling to the far east. He married Jean and had two wonderful children who he adored. Moving with his family in 1974 to Thompson, he worked as a mechanic and enjoyed racing speedway. After moving to Winnipeg, he worked at Arnold Brothers with his friends and enjoyed many hours with nature on his land. A memorial exchange will be held on his property on Wednesday, June 6 at 4:00 p.m., for further details please contact Wereschuk Funeral Chapel, 447 Selkirk Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
