MADELINE CHICOYNE Madeline Chicoyne, (nee DeWaele) of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly, at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, on Saturday, May 26, 2001, at the age of 78 years. Madeline was born in Belgium and came to Canada with her family at 18 months of age. She spent most of her life in Winnipeg, where she was a devoted employee of Dominion grocery stores for over 20 years, specializing in the bakeries. She relocated to Calgary in November of 1994 and enjoyed her time there. Madeline was an extremely social person and had a strong love for family. Her real passion was crafts. She would spend hours each day creating special gifts for friends and family. Madeline will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Robert Chicoyne (Diane), Gordon (Louise) Chicoyne, Jim Chicoyne (Claude), Debbie (Wayne) Leys; and 17 grandchildren, Ernie, Allan, Ron, Danny, Belinda, Tammy, Kim, Tina, Debbie, Tracy, Tiffany, Amber, Adam, Andrea, Renee-Claude, Jacques and Zachary. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren and special friends, Bryan and Joyce. Madeline was predeceased by her husband George and her two daughters, Irene and Linda.
