EVA THIESSEN Eva Thiessen (nee Epp) of Winkler, MB and formerly of Morris and Altona, MB, passed away at the age of 82 years, on May 28, 2001, at the Boundary Trails Hospital. Eva will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Frank Thiessen of Winkler; two sons, Reg Braun and Lin of Morris, Ken Braun of Thunder Bay, ON; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter Gloria and Rick Friesen of Winkler; three stepsons, Ken Thiessen of Winnipeg, Alvin and Shirley Thiessen of Winnipeg, Brian and Colleen Thiessen of Winkler; eight stepgrandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren and one sister Ruby Siemens of Altona and one sister-in-law Mary Epp of Altona. Eva was predeceased by her first husband Edgar L. Braun; one granddaughter Maria and one stepson Don. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Altona, MB, with interment to follow in the Altona Cemetery. Viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler, on Wednesday, May 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., also at Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona, on Thursday, May 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
