EMILE CARRIERE Peacefully on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB. Surviving are his nine children, Denis (Glenda), Henry (Pierrette), Robert (Judy), Emily (Cyril), Annette (Barry), Gilbert (Theresa), Gilles (Christine), Lawrence (Debbie), Yvonne (Rob) 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Surviving besides his family, sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther Carriere, Florence Carriere, Louise Carriere, Lionel (Delia) Allard, Doris Blais, Alfred (Velma) Allard, Fernand Allard; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Alex and Isabelle. Predeceased by his wife Ramona, 1990; sisters and brothers, Marcelline Chartrand, Ida Hamel, Herve Carriere, Edward Carriere, Arthur Carriere, George Carriere, Wilfrid Carriere; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Carriere, Gilles and Laurette Allard, Leo and Thelma Flamand, Noel and Marguerite N. Allard, Ben and Marguerite B. Allard, Denise Allard, Wilfred and Irene Pilon, Ovila Chartrand, Ernest Hamel, Andre Blais; one grandson Cyril Chartrand Jr. Viewing will be for immediate family only before prayers. Prayers will be said on Friday, June 1, at 7:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. As per his request, cremation will follow the prayers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Guy Lavallee, Rev. Fr. Dominique Kerbrat, and Rev. Fr. Ernest Kamath will officiate. Interment to follow in the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his six sons, Denis, Henry, Robert, Gilbert, Gilles, Lawrence. Special thanks to Dr. Burnett and staff at E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale for their tender loving care. Rest in peace Dad. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall, in care of arrangements.
