GEORGE BADEN DUNN Peacefully, at the Concordia Hospital on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, George Baden Dunn, beloved husband of Agatha (Gert) Dunn, passed away at the age of 88 years. Baden was born in Neepawa, MB on June 4, 1912 to George and Sarah Dunn and moved to the Springfield district with his family in 1920. He farmed with his father and brother Perry, drove the White Ribbon Bus for his brother Bill, then joined the C.N.R. in 1943, retiring in 1977 as a locomotive engineer. Besides his beloved wife of 63 years, he is survived by his daughters, Myrna (Ken) Mills and Elizabeth Lentz; grandchildren, Megan Mills (Sterling Land), Alanna Mills, Carla (Rick) Charles, Troy Lentz, Ryan (Shannon) Lentz; and great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Andrew and Jenelle Charles, Eddy and Katelyn Lentz. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Sarah Dunn; brothers, Perry and Bill; sisters, Janet, Alma, Mary Jane Anderson and Agnes; son-in-law Bill Lentz; brother-in-law Bill Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Isabel, Grace and Dorothy. A very special thank you to Dr. I. Mohammed and the wonderful caring staff at the Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service at Brookside Cemetery will be held at a later date with Chaplain Paul Martin officiating. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
