RAYMOND ANDREW BAETE September 23, 1953 - June 1, 2001 Tragically on June 1, 2001 Raymond Andrew Baete of Baldur, MB passed away at the young age of 47 years. Raymonds biggest joy was his children, grandchildren, and all other children. He was always the first to say, "sure well baby-sit". Many weekends were spent camping, fishing, and bowling. Other great interests were hunting and curling. The last couple of years Raymond and Sandra took up playing cards with friends and they could hardly wait for the next rainy day. He started out grain and cattle farming then decided to rent the land out, but the cattle remained. Left to mourn is his wife Sandra (nee Nelson) and children, Steven (Sharon), Heather (Scan) and grandchildren Trent and Makenzie; his parents, Mike and Annie; brothers, Armand (Joan), Michael (Carol), Garry (Cindy), Brian (Faye) sister Patsy; father-in-law Mert (Marie) Nelson; sisters-in-law, Marilyn (Will) Van De Kerckhove, Carolyn (Rick) Van De Kerckhove, Kathy Nelson; brothers-in-law, Allen (Starla) Nelson and Stephen Nelson; nieces and nephews, Trevor, Tanya, Tyler, Blair, Amanda, Devon, Michael, Kristen, Peter, Pat (Dale), Pam, Lisa, Jennifer, Derek, Mark, Brad, Keith, Jamie, Brent and Stephanie. Raymond was predeceased by his mother-in-law Dulcie Nelson and by a brother-in-law John Nelson. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held in the St. James Catholic Mission, Baldur on Tuesday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Baldur Cemetery. Friends that so wish, memoriams may be made in Raymonds memory to the Baldur Handi-Van or Baldur Ambulance Funds, Baldur, MB, or to the Marringhurst Pioneer Park, in care of Marilyn Van De Kerckhove, R.R. 1, Pilot Mound, MB R0G 1P0.
