CHARLES RANDOLPH EDWARDS "Miskoh Mahkoons" (Little Red Bear) It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our dearly beloved brother, nephew and good friend Charles Randolph Edwards, "Randy", "Charlie" on Friday, June 1, 2001 at Ste. Rose Memorial Hospital, aged 39 years, of Lake Manitoba First Nation. Randy will be sadly missed by his special friend, Vera Houle; sisters, Lillian (Charles), Freda (Joe), Marlene (Arthur), Peggy (Ron), Susan (John), Linda (Franklin), Emma, Kim and Colleen whom he considered a sister; brothers, Eddie (Valerie), Stephen (Cheryl) and Richard Choken; special great-nephews, Kyle and River Edwards; special niece, Tanya Edwards and Shaun Hunter "Jerry" and Tim Edwards whom he considered as his own children. Also, many other special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved and cared for. His aunties, (godmother) Maggie (Jim), Cecelia, Ida (Abe) his uncles, Joe (Margaret), Ernest, George (Millie), Lawrence, John (Maryanne) and many more cousins, friends and relatives too numerous to mention. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Edwin; grandparents, Nancy and Charles Maytwayashing, John and Pauline Edwards; step-grandmother Delia Edwards; aunties, Florence, Margaret, Rose, Leona, Christine, Breena; unclesc Barney, Siggi and Norman. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at the Lake Manitoba School Gymnasium at Lake Manitoba First Nation with Father Raphael Glofcheski officiating. Interment to follow in the Lake Manitoba Cemetery. Wake services with prayers will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4 at Randys residence at Lake Manitoba First Nation. Honorary pallbearers will be Randys special godchildren, Kyle Edwards, Shadow Edwards, Martin Swan, Jesinta Swan, Lindsey Edwards, Thomas Edwards and Albert Richard, including Shawn Hunter, Darryl T. Swan, Richard Choken, Tanya Edwards, Stephanie Cromarty, Kristen Missyabit, Colleen Edwards, Joanne Edwards, Isaac Edwards, Kathy McIvor, Brian McIvor, Mary Jane Ahmo, Bruce Ahmo and Adeline Mercredi, all his previous students at Lake Manitoba School and those presently at Donald Ahmo School in Crane River. Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Tim Edwards, Bryce Missyabit, Charles Wood Jr., Dennis Edwards, Dean Edwards and Jeremy Edwards.
