VIOLET FOSTER (nee KOSOWAN) Peacefully, with her family by her side on Sunday, June 3, 2001, at the age of 73 years. Violet was born on February 16, 1928 in Gardenton, MB. She was employed by T. Eaton Co. for 33 years. Left to cherish her memory are her son Robert and wife Mary (Moose Jaw) daughters, Dianne Lesko and husband Al, Gloria Birch and husband Ted; grandchildren, Shane and Sara Foster, Mike and Joey Lesko (Jamie), Dana, Kerry, Kristeen and Tyler Birch; and great-grandson Logan Foster. Also survived by her soul-mate and companion for the past two years, Ken Karlowsky. Words cannot express the gratitude the family feels for the care and compassion Ken has shown our mother since they met. His unconditional love has shown us the true meaning of selflessness. Moms zest for life was enhanced by her love for gardening, dancing, music, and good times with friends and family. Her apple pie, bread and cinnamon buns were second to none. She will be forever remembered for her generosity and kindness to all. We would like to thank Moms special friends, Kay Sayer, Therese Trudel, brother John, brother-in-law Bill Foster and wife Evelyn, and many others too numerous to mention. Your support over the last few months will always be remembered. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment and reception to follow at Glen Lawn. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in Violets memory to the St. Boniface General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 8th floor. Our sincere gratitude to Dr. C. Hildahl, Dr. D. Hobsen, and the staff on the 8th floor, who made Mom comfortable in her short stay with them. We love you mother, grandmother, and friend "I hope you dance" Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
