EDWARD ALEXANDER (EDDIE) HUDSON 1926-2001 It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Edward Alexander (Eddie) Hudson of Fisher River Cree Nation at his residence on June 1, 2001 at the age of 75 years. To forever cherish his memory, his brother Frank Hudson; sisters, Mary and Nora Mallett, Dorothy Crate (Fred), all of Fisher River, Margaret Kemash (Felix) of Red Rose. Also his special friend Harriet Murdock of Fisher River; his children, William Thompson of Winnipeg, Marcella Stevenson of Peguis and Phyllis Sinclair of Fisher River; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Mary Jane Hudson; two brothers and three sisters in infancy; brothers-in-law, Ben and John Mallett Sr. Edward was a retired trapper, hunter, farmer and fisherman. He also had a talent in snowshoe making which he did for many years and continued to make them as a hobby and gave them to his nieces, nephews and special friends. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Jeff Cochrane, Davie Cochrane, Fisher Branch R.C.M.P., Peguis Ambulance Service and the Fisher River Chief and Council. Also a special thank you to Dan Murdock for his help and kindness. Wake service will be Tuesday, June 5, 8:00 p.m., funeral service Wednesday, June 6, 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Stevens Memorial United Church, Fisher River with Rev. Gloria Muskego officiating. Interment will follow at the Fisher River Community Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Fisher Funeral Home, Fisher Branch, MB. 1-204-372-6271.
