Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN RAVESTEIN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Ravestein, aged 88 years, on Sunday, June 3, 2001, at the Percy Moore Hospital, Hodgson, MB. John was born and raised in Fisher Branch, MB, March 26, 1913. He spent many years working on the farm, and later moved to Winnipeg where he cared for his mother until her passing. He worked at various jobs until his retirement. He returned to live in Hodgson, and Fisher Branch until his passing. His family and friends were a very important part of his life, he always had a loving smile and warm memory to share with those around him. John was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius (1963), Lena (1971), brother Andrew (1992), sister-in-law Lucille (1994), and brother-in-law John (1997). He is survived by his sister Anne Menning of Drayton Valley, AB, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to all the care givers that helped make his life more comfortable, including the staff at Fisher Personal Care Home, doctors, nurses, and staff at Percy Moore Hospital, and close friends that stood by him in the time of need. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St., at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor James Thiessen officiating. Interment will take place at the Glenlawn Cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johns memory to the Fisher Personal Care Home, Box 119, Fisher Branch, MB R0C 0Z0.
