Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCONSTANCE MOURANT On Monday, June 4, 2001 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg, Constance Mourant aged 85 years of Lake Francis, MB. She was born May 15, 1916 at McDuff, Banff-Shire, Scotland. Connie married Jules Mourant April 26, 1946, and moved to Canada the following year. They lived in St. Boniface for five years before moving to Lake Francis in 1952, where they operated the store and post office. In 1975 her husband Jules passed away, and Connie continued to operate the post office until her retirement in 1981. Connie did charity work volunteering her time to raise money for St. Georges Anglican Church. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her yard. She was predeceased by her mother and father, and brothers, Duff and Alex. She is survived by her sister Lotti MacKay; niece Margorie; and nephews, Alstair, Norman and George. She is also survived by nieces and nephews on the Mourant side; special friend Anita Oliver; and special companions JoJo, Radar, and Jenny; along with many friends. A memorial service will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church, Woodlands on Tuesday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Arnold Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in Lake Francis Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited back to the Woodlands Legion Hall for lunch. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Georges Anglican Church, Woodlands, MB. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
