Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY VERPLAETSE Suddenly, on June 4, 2001 at home, Shirley (Coke) Verplaetse, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt passed away at the age of 65. She was predeceased by her father Harry, mother Helen, sister Agnes, and brother Henry. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving family: daughters, Susan (Rene), Kathy and Cindy (Dennis) grandchildren, Michelle (Glen), Lisa (Rob), Cheryl, Kerri, and Michael; great-grandchild Megan; brothers, Ken (Jeanette), Barry (Eleanore), Don (Marie-Anne), and Phil; sisters, Lillian, Yvonne (Gary), Janet (George), Diane (Ed), Carole (Dave), Margaret (Leon) numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Shirleys career spanned over thirty years in the insurance industry. She was recently semi-retired. She was a member of the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba, The Belgium Club Ladies Group. She enjoyed many weekends at her cottage at St. Laurent, MB. Her favourite pastimes were gardening, crocheting, bingo playing and spending time with her family. Pallbearers will be Allan Sedo, Darryl DeSerranno, Brian Barnabe, Randy Rear, Jeff and Todd Lindsay. Viewing will take place on Thursday, June 7 from 7:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Friday, June 8 at 10:30 a.m. both in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane, with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
