MARY BACHINSKI It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mary, on Monday, June 4, 2001 at the age of 79. Mary will be sadly missed by her husband Michael; sons, Charlie (Van) and Richard; and hergrandchildren, Robin (Donald), Charles (Debbie), Clifford (Marion), Nicholai, Jackie (Trent), Jason, Jamie, Matthew and Lauren; and her 15 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Rose and her daughter-in-law Shirley. Mary was predeceased by her son Kenneth in April 2001, and sister Anne (Pete). Mary and Michael were married for 56 years. They lived and raised their children in East Kildonan and East St. Paul, where Mary spent her time gardening, community activities, and was known as a frequent BINGO shouter. During retirement, Mary and Michael enjoyed summers at Gimli trailer park and short day trips through the winter. An extended special thanks to daughter-in-law Shirley and sister Rose who spent a great deal of time with Mary. Also thanks to the nurses and staff of N1 at Concordia Hospital for their hours of care. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jackie Knight, Jason Bachinski, Jamie Bachinski, Matthew Bachinski, Lauren Bachinski, and Anna Winiarska. Donations may be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 505 Watt St. at Munroe, with Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
