BARRY ROY KENYON May 1, 1947 - June 1, 2001 Peacefully, on June 1, 2001 at the Concordia Hospital with both his loving wife Elaine and daughter Wendy by his side, our beautiful, loving, caring husband and father, Barry Roy Kenyon passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 54. Barry is survived by both his loving wife Elaine and daughter Wendy (Ken) Sadowy; brothers, Peter (Mona), and Glen (Nancy) sisters, Joyce, Evelyn (Moe), and Roberta (Don) as well as Lori and Lance. Barry will also be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Diane, Paul (Janice), Benny (Diane), Margaret (John), Joan, and Albert; as well as his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Barry was predeceased by his parents, Winona and Roy Kenyon; his first wife Elizabeth; mother and father-in-law Nettie and John Yakymow; sisters-in-law, Mary Krawchuk and Elsie Yakymow and Silvia. Barry was self-employed for many years as a concrete finisher for Randall Homes. He took great pride in ensuring the work he did was always done to the best of his ability. Barry had a great love for animals and would never turn away a stray cat, dog or any injured little soul. He took great pride in his yard with the many different varieties of trees and flowers he planted and loved to tend. At Barrys request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane, with Minister of Pastoral Care, Mark Scott officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Barrys memory to the Transcona Veterinary Hospital, care of Dr. Murray Moffat, 501 Pandora Ave. W., Winnipeg, MB R2C 1M8. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Nelson Svordal, nurses Sharon and Donna at the Health Sciences Centre, Pain Clinic for the care and compassion they gave. We would also like to extend our thanks to three very special, caring ladies, Lisa, Mary-Anne and Carla who all in their own way made a difference by unselfishly giving their time, care and advice and for this we are eternally grateful. "Sweetheart, Dad, what we would give to hug, touch and kiss you again. Having seen what you went through, we could not be selfish And wish you back to go through that again. What a brave and gracious man. We both will forever love and cherish you. We will never forget you. Until we all meet again." Love always, your loving wife Elaine and daughter Wendy.
