ALICE H. CARDINAL (nee BERNDT/PEARY) August 1, 1944 - June 5, 2001 With great sorrow, we announce that suddenly on June 5, 2001, our mother, grandmother, and friend was taken from us at the early age of 56. Alice had a love for life. Her gardening and her accordion were her favourite pastimes, especially when they included her family. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and her unselfish gift of herself. She was predeceased by her parents, Theresa and Frederick Berndt; and her daughter Kelly Peary. She is survived by her daughter Debra (Rod), son Gordon (Lisa) grandchildren, Gordie, Taylor, and Aimie; and her companion Henry Marshall. Special thanks to all the staff at Health Sciences Centre who helped make her final moments comfortable. She will be dearly missed by all. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. We love you Mom!
