ISABELO JULITO JUNIO February 24, 1913 - June 6, 2001 It is with deep sorrow that we must accept the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend Isabelo. With his family at his side, Isabelo lost his battle with cancer on June 6, 2001 at 10:15 p.m. at the Grace Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Estrella Junio; children, Trinidad (Jun) Aragon, Boy (Julie) Junio, Ramona Junio, Nenita Junio, Terrie (Stan) Woodward, Yvonne Junio, Marilou Junio, Robert (Josephine) Junio, Augie (Stacie) Junio; grandchildren, Marisheen Junio, Joseph and Jennifer Aragon, Cheryl Woodward, Marjorie, Gerry, and Gilmour Junio, Samantha, Sidney and Sheridan Junio, Alex Junio; and many relatives and friends. Isabelo and his wife Estrella with their younger children came to Winnipeg in 1976 to be with the rest of the family. As a father, Dad was a strict disciplinarian, but somehow had a lot of patience when it came to his grandchildren. He adored each and every one of them in his own way, none of them could do anything wrong in Grandpas eye. Dad was a friendly and very easy-going person with lots of friends. He had problems communicating with the English language but somehow he could always get his point across and made friends with no regard on anyones ethnic background. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Grace Hospital Oncology and Palliative Care Departments, Dr. Patricia Harris for the great care that they had extended to Dad during his last days. To Dr. Rodolfo Padua who was always there to patiently answer Dads questions and frustrations with the disease. Lamay will be held on Saturday, June 9 and Sunday, June 10, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m., with Msgr. Maurice Comeault officiating, also at Glen Eden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare or the Grace Hospital Foundation.
