Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELLEN MARY LANDIN Peacefully, with her family by her side, our dear mother and grandmother, Ellen Mary Landin, passed away on June 5, 2001 at Park Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by three daughters, Lillian Joyce (Jim), Doris Proceviat (Fred), and Joyce Lawson (Sam) son Ray (Lillian) granddaughters, Pennie Pilon (Mike), Debbie Sutton (Jim), Cheryl Ganes (Gary), Cindy Marsden (Doug), Sandra Johnson (Pete), Wendi Flawith (Steve) grandsons, Robbie Lawson (Gail) and Gavin Lawson; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; sons, Robert and Roy; sons-in-law James Joyce and Fred Proceviat. Ellen was born in in 1902 and immigrated to Quibell, ON with her parents and four brothers. In 1919, she married Robert, who worked for the C.N.R. and they spent many years moving from one railway town to another. In 1930, Bob finally got a permanent placement at Vivian, MB and those were the happiest years of their lives. Ellen was an active member of the Vivian Sewing Circle and Bridge Club. She took pride in her garden, and family and friends enjoyed her great baking. She so looked forward to the children coming home on holidays and especially those beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We, the family, want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all at Park Manor who gave Mom the greatest care. Thank you, Mom, for teaching us how important love and caring are. We love you, Mom. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda St., Winnipeg, MB R2C 0L7. Memorial service to be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Park Manor Nursing Home, 301 Redonda St., with Mr. Charles Toop officiating. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
