SHAH) May 17, 1942 - June 8, 2001 Peacefully after a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kairoon (Kay) Wegner, at the age of 59 years, on Friday, June 8, 2001 at the Grace Hospital. Kay resided in Winnipeg for the past 30 years after emigrating from Trinidad. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her son Kevin (Cheryl) Wegner; daughter Corina (Phouthasinh) Phayouphone, all of Winnipeg; stepdaughter Iris (Paul) Wegner of Alberta and their father Alfred Wegner; four grandchildren, Aleigha, Adom, Richard, and Jon; as well as her family back home in Trinidad and Florida and many friends. In compliance with Kays wishes, no formal funeral services will be held and flowers are gratefully declined. Our family would like to thank all the health care facilities that our mother has resided in for the past two years. A special thank you to Vi Chaulk and the caring nursing and health care aid staff of 3 North at the Grace General Hospital, to Deacon Joe McLellan and his wife Matrine for their love and support during this trying time, and to Richard Wojcik and Richard Truscott of Wojciks Funeral Chapel.
