Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL GULENCHYN Suddenly on Friday, June 8, 2001, at the Health Sciences Centre, Michael Gulenchyn passed away at the age of 83 years. Michael was born on January 5, 1918, in Elma, MB. He moved to Winnipeg at the age of 17 years and worked on the Canadian Pacific Railway until 1955 and at Reed Packaging from 1955 until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed gardening and spending his summers at Camp Veselka near Gimli. His quiet gentleness will always be remembered. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Nettie; eight brothers, Joe, John, Tony, Stanley, Peter, Burt, Steve and Walter; three sisters, Anne, Kay Klusiewich and Marie Armitage and infant granddaughter Patricia. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Kay; two sons, Ron (Anne) and Wayne (Zenovia) four granddaughters, Jenna Morris (Lyle), Lauren, Natalie, and Melanie; sister Jean Deslauriers; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Prayers will be held on Monday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Isadore Dziadyk O.S.B.M. officiating, also at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ukrainian Orthodox Summer Camp "Veselka," in care of Mr. Maurice Lakusta, 917 Cathedral Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R2X 1J3.
