RAYMOND GLEN McALLISTER On April 14, 2001, in Ludlow, England, Raymond Glen McAllister passed away peacefully at his home, aged 76 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Jean Louise and was predeceased by his parents, Enoch and Catherine Lucy Jane. Ray was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Birds Hill where his parents ran a Mink Farm. After his fathers death, Ray began a construction business and became well known in the local construction industry. In the early 1970s, his varied business interests necessitated a move to England and he and Jean made their home from then on in the beautiful market town of Ludlow in Shropshire. Although he never again lived in Winnipeg, he visited many times and retained close relationships with many friends and business associates. Ray will be sadly missed by his many friends both in Canada and in England. His personality was defined in large part by his generosity and hospitality which many friends enjoyed. Rays hope was of resurrection to a paradise earth in Jehovahs New Order soon to come. His favourite scripture was Micah 6:8, He has told you, oh earthling man, what is good. And what is Jehovah asking back from you but to exercise justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God? Memorial service was held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses at Craven Arms on Saturday, April 21. Jean will be spending the summer months with her family at the Lily Nook in Neepawa, MB.
