Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSALIA (ROSE) STANGL (nee WITTMAN) It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Rosalia Stangl at the Betel Home in Selkirk on Thursday, June 7, 2001. Mom now rests eternally with her beloved husband Lorenz, her son George, sister Annie Klienfelder and daughter-in-law Mary. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Albert, Doris (Gary), Willard (Diane) her daughter-in-law Marion, numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brothers and sisters, Vera, Frank, Jack, Loretta, Otto and Norma. Rose was born on November 30, 1908 in Winnipeg, MB. She enjoyed her garden, her flowers and was well known for her crocheting and needlework. But most of all she enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Prayers will be said on Sunday, June 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church, Little Britain, MB, with Msgr. Louis McCloskey officiating. Her pallbearers will be Chad Stangl, Murray Chabluk, Neil Bennett, Doug Stangl, Clarence Stangl and Raymond Enns. Honorary pallbearer will be Joe Stangl. The family would like to extend special thanks to Fr. Don Pruner and Henry Moroz who visited and prayed with Rose regularly at the Knights Centre and Betel Home, also the staff at the Betel Home and the residents at the Knights Centre who visited and cared for Rose while there. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
