WILLIAM KRENTZ Peacefully, on Thursday, June 7, 2001, William (Bill) Krentz, formerly of Steinbach, passed away at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour. Dad now rests eternally with his first wife Gertie, who predeceased him on July 2, 1991. He is survived by his only son Wayne (Pauline) grandchildren, Allyson (Chris Chartrand), Heather (Jarek Wojick), Steven and great-grandson Braedyn; his wife of 9 years, Rosalia and her children and their families, Gordon Krentz (Evelyn), Perry, Maria, Kyle and Mathew; Darren, Mariann, Dustin and Ricki; Iris Pylypjuk (Gordon), Kim, Ralph Bailey and Jarrett Doerksen; Darlene Turner (Chris), Charlene and Don Freund, Dorinda, Mike, Kalynda and Mickael Penner; Pearl Wintoniw (Jarvis), Steven, Timothy and Caroline; Robert Krentz (Jody) Cody, Denton and Winston; his sisters, Gladys Sobering (Bill), all of Steinbach, Irene Hunt of Thunder Bay, ON and brother-in-law Norbert Arnhold of Beausejour and many nieces and nephews. Dad was precedeased by his parents, first wife Gertie; sisters, Frieda and Lilly; sisters-in-law, Irma Arnhold and Laura Gray; brother-in-law Andrew Gray and a son Richard in infancy. After his marriage to Rosalia in 1992, Dad moved to Steinbach and had an extended family which became a special part of his life. Family was very important to Dad and he was happy when everyone was together at holidays and special occasions. We all have many wonderful memories of these times together. Dad, Grandpa Bill, Papa, you are now at peace and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved you. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, Greenwald, MB with Rev. Arleen Berg officiating. Friends may view at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will be Steven Krentz, his life long friend Ed Borkowsky and all his step-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Messieurs Darren Sobering, Danny Luty, Gordon Schalla, Robert Krentz, Gordon Krentz and Jarvis Wintoniw. The family wishes to thank the East Gate Lodge staff for their care and kindness shown to Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
