GEORGE ENGEL George Engel passed away unexpectedly at the Seven Oaks Hospital on June 12, 2001. George is survived by his sisters, Eugenia (Walter), Adelle (Rudy) his brother Gerhard (Johanna) and numerous nieces and nephews in Germany and Canada. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister Lili. George worked at Deer Lodge Hospital for many years and enjoyed everyone there from staff to residents. He loved to fly and all things to do with aviation. George was also known for his fine carpentry in making bird houses and picnic tables. He was a very loved man and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Georges family would like to thank Doris for taking care of Fritz. In lieu of flowers, donations in Georges memory may be made to Air Cadet Gliding Manitoba, Box 1011, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2W2. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m., with viewing one-half hour prior to service, in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Garden of Prayer, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
