FRANK PASTUCHYN August 4, 1911 - June 12, 2001 Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 12, 2001, Frank Pastuchyn, aged 89 years, passed away at Kildonan Personal Care Home. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife Katherine; step-children, Jen (Ed) Walkow, Ed (Lila) Rokosh and Herb (Marge) Rokosh; grandchildren, Kathryn, Lisa, Jason, Lori, Debbie, Brad, Anne, Jennifer, John; and great-grand-daughters, Tyler, Miya and Nyah; his sisters, Mary, Jean, Emily; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gregor and Michalina; and brothers and sisters, Tekla, Anne, Peter, John, Joe, Walter and Mike. Frank was born in Elma, MB. He spent his early years running the family farm followed by a career in the construction industry. The last 15 years, up to his retirement, Frank was employed by the Holy Family Nursing Home as maintenance supervisor. Everyone who knew Frank marveled at his practical skills and creativeness in building or repairing virtually anything. He used these gifts selflessly to help family and friends. The family is deeply grateful to the staff of Riverview Health Centre 4 West and Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their care and support. Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 8:00 p.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street and Munroe Avenue. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m., also at the church, with Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
