Lillian was raised in Transcona, where she attended the Assumption Catholic School. Later she moved to Winnipeg and was employed at Bulman Bros. for many years, making many friends. She had to leave her employment due to being a caregiver to her parents when they became ill. A few years later, Lillian was re-united with Laurent (Larry) Sigouin whom she had known years ago. They were married and had a wonderful marriage of 14 years till Larry became ill. Lillian became caregiver until he had to be hospitalized. She visited him faithfully and daily, also volunteered her help at the Tache Nursing Centre when she could. Once Lillian and Larry re-united, their daughter Vivian completed the family. A happy time for the three to be re-united. After her husband passed away it was time to look after herself, where at that time was diagnosed with cancer. She was so positive and that helped her with us a little longer. Lillian enjoyed her camping days at Wildwood Trailer Park at Winnipeg Beach. She met many friends there. She enjoyed long lasting friendships with Bernice Johnson and Lil Bearistow (Big Lil). She enjoyed the card games and bingo at her apartment in the hall. She also looked forward to the day trips to Warroad to the Casino. She enjoyed family visits, which included card games. Lillian was known for her dedication to those who needed her. Lillian attended Holy Redeemer Church until she could no longer go. She was a member of Legion Number 30. Lillians family would like to thank her cancer volunteer Bernice Kirk for she made Lillians days easier. Also thanks to her Home Care girls, a special thank-you to Sister Collette, you are so special. Special thanks to all the staff on the Palliative Ward at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate, loving care. At Lillians request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Burial will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens following the service.
