ISABEL MAY ORR May 7, 1916 - June 11, 2001 Peacefully, after a short illness, on Monday, June 11, 2001, Isabel Orr, beloved mother, mother-in-law, nanny and sister, passed away at the age of 85. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Dennis Orr (Louise) of Winnipeg; daughter Maureen Markus (Jim) of Oakbank, MB; and brother Ken Charles (Emily) of Dugald, MB; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Allen Orr; son Edward Orr; daughter Muriel Biber; granddaughter Sherri-Lyn Holo; and sister Ruby Harrison. Isabel was born and raised in Dugald. She received her education in Hazelridge, MB and spent a brief time teaching at McDavid School, Anola, MB. Isabel resided in Transcona for many years. Most of her working years were with the T. Eaton Company. Among her interests were bingo, gardening, playing piano and travelling whenever she had the chance. She also enjoyed many years of looking after her grandchildren. The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Teody and Danny Encarnacion and family for the wonderful loving care they provided for mom. Thank-you also to Seven Oaks General Hospital ICU and Unit 7 for all of their compassionate care during moms final days. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14 at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. Private interment at a later date.
