Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE BODNAR It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Katherine Bodnar on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre at the age of 76 years. Katherine was born in Poland on November 13, 1924. Katherine was taken from her family at an early age and forced to work in Germany during the war. Following this, she immigrated to Canada in 1950 where she met and married Mike Bodnar of Rorketon. Katherine worked hard to raise her family and took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Her caring kindness and smiling face will always be remembered by all who were fortunate to have known her. She will be sadly missed. Katherine leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 51 years, Mike Bodnar of Ste. Rose du Lac; her five sons, Peter and wife Darlene of Winnipeg, Joe and wife Arlene of Teulon, Walter of Ste. Rose du Lac, Nick and wife Joy of Ste. Rose du Lac and Tony and wife Evelyn of Rorketon; four daughters, Olga and partner Brian of Dresden, ON, Nellie and husband William of Richer, Sylvia and husband Dan of Winnipeg, and Mary and husband Vince of Calgary, AB. There are 20 grandchildren; her two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Annie and John Bodnar of Rorketon and Mary Pich of Dauphin. Prayers will be offered on Thursday, June 14 at 7:00 p.m. from the Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15 at 12:00 noon from the Rorketon Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Fr. Bohdan Borowec will officiate with the interment following in the Weiden Assumption Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Roman Tityk, Metro Bodnar, Nicholas Bodnar, Matthew Bodnar, David Lapointe and Brian Johnson. All of Katherines family and friends are to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. Crossbearer will be Nidene Bodnar. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Katherine to the charity of ones choice. Ste. Rose Memorial Chapel, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB, in care of arrangements, (204) 447-2444.
