ROY KRENTZ Suddenly, on June 14, 2001, Roy passed away peacefully, with his family by his side at the age of 69 years. Roy was born on June 15, 1931 in the District of Friedensfeld. As a child he was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Roy grew up on the family farm. After leaving school, he worked at various jobs, but on moving to Winnipeg, was employed at Pepsi Cola, Modern Dairies, and Motor Coach Industries for 30 years until his retirement in 1996. Roy enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, watching wrestling, attending tractor and horse pulls and Rodeos as well as touring museums. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife Shirley; son Don (Sandra) two sisters, Emma Krentz and Erma Kihn; numerous nieces and nephews and the many friends he made over the years; and his special furry friend, Monster. Roy was predeceased by his father Adolf; mother Kaithrine; and sisters, Albertina and Martha; brother Arthur; also sister Alma, and brother William, both in infancy. Pallbearers will be Lloyd McDougall, Lloyd Kihn, Larry Wiebe, Lawrence Wiebe, Lance Kihn, and Cordell Kihn. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy.#1 East at Green Acres Lane. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. also in Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Roys memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Wpg., MB, R2L 1X3 or the charity of your choice.
