DAISY VERA DAY (nee JACKSON) Passed away peacefully on June 12, 2001 at Tuxedo Villa. She was predeceased by her son, Charles (Chuck) Ledingham in 1981; husband Oliver (Hap) in 1982; parents, Gertrude and James; sister Moyra; and brothers, Johnny and Tommy. Daisy is survived by son Ron Ledingham (Carole) grandchildren, Jodi and Jeff in Winnipeg; daughter-in-law Barbara; and grandchildren, Charles, Danny, Curtis, Cindy and Anita in British Columbia. Daisy was energetic, strong willed, independent and lived a very active life prior to suffering her first stroke in 1985, as her many friends will verify. Daisy belonged to the Khartum Ladies Auxiliary, Credit Womens Breakfast Club of North America, Order of the Eastern Star and was an Honorary Member of Womens Committee, The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Nursing Staff and their Aids at the Tuxedo Villa Extendicare for the excellent care given to Daisy during her years there. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Khartum Shrine (Patient Transportation Fund) 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 1B9. Friends may call for visitation on Monday, June 18 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. There will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 also at the Thomson Funeral Chapels, with the Rev. J. Moore officiating. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
