DONALD WILFRED ELLIOTT January 13, 1940 - June 13, 2001 Peacefully on June 13, 2001, Donald Wilfred Elliott passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Wendy (Real) of Winnipeg, Nancy of Winnipeg, Linda (Tim) of Prince George; son William of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Ryan, Breanne, Nathan, Nicole; ex-wife Sally; brother Charlie (Donna) Elliott of Selkirk and their children; step-sisters and brothers; nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Don was a very caring and giving person. He gave all he had to those he knew and loved. He was once employed as an electrician. He was quite the Mr. "Fix-it", always tinkering with stuff. He had a great belief in Jesus and was at peace with himself before he left this earth. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Ward and Dr. Drobot ACF Medicine for their helpfulness in his last days. Also the family would like to thank the members of his church for the kindness and love they gave to Donald. Visitation will take place Sunday, June 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at the corner of Sturgeon and Ness. Interment will follow at Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Rd. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Donalds memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
