JOHN GARDINER John Gardiner, aged 93, passed away June 12, 2001 at his sons home in Calgary, AB. Dad will be sadly missed by his children, Jack (Peggy) Gardiner of Calgary, Linda (Dave) Leier of Surrey, BC and Brenda (Ted) Trudeau of New Sarepta, AB. He was loved and admired by his grandchildren, Shelley (Dominique) Versavel, Laura Gardiner, Colleen (Randal) Gardiner-Heimark, Michelle (Doug) Heath, Deanna (Mike) Jones, Rob (Tina) Trudeau, Todd (Krista) Trudeau and Tara-Lea Trudeau. Grandpa, thank you for all the wonderful memories. Dad was proud to have 11 great-grandchildren whom he adored very much. His sisters, Georgina Barnes and Edith Heaton, as well as his brother Bill Gardiner also survive Dad. His loving wife Lily and infant grandson Scott Gardiner predeceased him. Born in Winnipeg, Dad was a pioneer Charleswood resident and member of Charleswood United Church. He was employed by CN Railway for 42 years and a member of CN Pensioners Association. Dad resided at No. 1 Boulton Bay, Winnipeg for the past 18 years where he made many dear friends. His friendly greetings and mischievous smile will be missed. Funeral services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAYS "Chapel of the Bells," 2720 Centre St. North, Calgary, on Saturday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m. with Carol Barwick, Chaplain of Rosedale Hospice officiating.
