RALPH ALBERT SCHMIEDEL It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Albert Schmiedel on Sunday, June 10, 2001 at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 88 years. He was born in Chesley, ON on May 24, 1913, but resided mainly in Kitchener/Waterloo, ON. Ralph is the beloved father of Gail and her husband Gordon, loving grandfather of Megan and Heather, and "Pop" to Gordons sister Rose. He was predeceased by his parents and wife, Marguerite of Kitchener. Dad had an avid enthusiasm for life and learning. Of late, he loved playing bridge, reading and raising violets. Our family will always remember his encouragement, interest in our lives, and telling stories of his life. In compliance with Dads wishes, a private family gathering will be held with interment taking place in Ontario at a later date. Our family wishes to thank his many friends (especially Jan) for the love and support you have given Dad and our family. It has meant so much to us all. We also wish to thank the wonderful caregivers in Palliative Care (4th floor West) at the Grace General Hospital. Special thanks are extended to Jo, Donna and Cora as well as to Ron, Dads short term roommate, a very special man. Flowers are gratefully declined.
