THORDIS AUGUSTA (GUSTA) EINARSON It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Thordis Augusta (Gusta) Einarson on June 13, 2001 at the Gimli Hospital at the age of 86 years. Dearly beloved mother of Beverley and Joan. Also left to mourn is her brother Jon (Bertha) Jonasson and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Johann in 1972; her infant daughter Elaine; her parents; brothers, Stefan, Jonas and Gunnsteinn. Gusta was born to Jon and Ragnheidur Jonasson at Huldarhvammi in Arnes, MB. Following her marriage to Johann, together they farmed and raised their family in Arnes where she lived until her husbands death when she moved to Gimli with Beverley. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her home and yard, tending to her flowers and enjoying the birds. Mom was a quiet, kind and gentle person who enjoyed visitors and always had the coffee pot ready. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arnes Lutheran Church, Arnes. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
