VIRA (MABEL) SIM Vira (Mabel) Sim passed away peacefully June 2, 2001 at Parkholm Lodge, after a lengthy illness. She was born at Lennard, MB, January 29, 1929 and was raised in Winnipeg, MB. Vira is survived by her sisters, Vicky Bourrie of Sardis, Alice Ptashnick and Doris Malar of Winnipeg; sister-in-laws, Eleanor Gorda of Sardis, Pearl Gorda of Edmonton, Nellie Gorda of Winnipeg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Vira retired as a hairdresser and became a sales person and travelled through the prairie provinces until 1985. She then settled in Chilliwack, BC. She will be fondly remembered for her motorhome visits, generosity and her good advice. She was a member of the Legion Branch No. 280. The family would like to thank Dr. Page, nurses and staff at Chilliwack General Hospital and all at Parkholm Lodge. Cremation has taken place at Viras request. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice.
