Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARENCE KEMPER CAMPO "BOULDER" December 26, 1932 - June 14, 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence "Boulder" Campo on Thursday, June 14, 20001 at Winnipeg, MB. He leaves to mourn his passing, his partner of 30 years, Frances Cook; his son Darren Cook; and daughter Sandra (Conrad Munroe) Cook; and extended family, Alice, Lucy, Connie, Beverly (Howard Young), Lawrence (Diane), Doris, Esther, Ken and Jennifer, all of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by his son Alfred (Marilyn) Campeau of Winnipeg; and daughter Ruby Campeau of Shoal River. He will also be remembered by his brother William (Flora) Campeau; and three sisters, Mariam (Starney) Kematch, Sylvia (William John) Cook, and Annie (Jim) Sanderson. Boulder loved spending time with his 39 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing until he took sick. He especially liked cooking traditional food like duck soup, moose meat and fish for his grandchildren. Every year he looked forward to celebrating his birthday and Christmas with relatives in Shoal River, MB. Boulder loved square dancing, visiting with his friends and taking the grandchildren for rides. We will always remember him for the care and support he provided to his family. He was predeceased by his daughter Aggie Cook in October 1995; his father and mother, David and Flora Campeau; his brothers, Edward, John, Alfred, Joe and Clemmie. Also, his good friend Henry Chartier on June 12, 2000. A service will be held at the Aboriginal Funeral Home on Saturday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. Wake services will be Sunday, June 17 and Monday, June 18 at the R.C. Hall in Grand Rapids, MB. Funeral services will take place at the R.C. Church on Tuesday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the St. Alexanders R.C. Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Conrad Munroe, Elmer Turner, Dennis Turner, Ralph Bourassa, Moses Cook and Alex Campeau. The honorary pallbearers will be Absolom Cook, George and Louise Mercredi, Lawrence Cook, Kenneth G. Cook, Darren Cook and Alfred Campeau. The family would like to thank Dr. Kasper, Dr. Latizinsky and all the nursing staff for the care they gave Clarence during his illness.
