Besides his loving wife of 52 years, Jadwiga, he will be sadly missed by his daughters, Irene (Lou) Joyal and Krystyna (Paul) Schinkel; son Edward (Amy) seven grandchildren Joshua, Benjamin, Jennifer, Caitlin, Andrew, Carly and Corilyn; brother Zenon (Leona) brother Bronislaw and family in Poland; sister-in-law Wanda and nieces and nephews. Wladzio was predeceased by his parents, Jan and Anna; brothers, Edward and Tadeudsz and sister Karolina. He was born August 17, 1919 in Kozowa, Poland. He was taken to serve in the Russian Army and then in the Polish Army, organized by Gen. Sikorski. Under Gen. Anders command, he was involved in many battles including Monte Casino. After the war he went to England and in 1947, he came to Canada on a working contract to farm. He met, fell in love and married Jadzia in 1949. In 1950, he started working at the Bank of Montreal, retiring in 1983. During retirement, Dad and Mom enjoyed blueberry and mushroom picking at the lake. Dad had time to perfect his winemaking techniques and babysitting skills. He loved to laugh and especially at himself. He was proud of every grandchild and his niece Urszula and nephews, Peter and John. Dad was a simple, hardworking man, who had many skills ranging from carpentry to gardening and if anything ever broke, he fixed it. Dad was a loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather and we all miss him. Dad was a longtime member of St. John Cantius Church and went to Mass every day until his illness. He served as secretary with St. John Cantius Fraternal Aid Society and never missed helping out on Monday night Bingo. He was also a member of Royal Canadian Legion (A. Mynarski Polish Br. No. 34) and Polish Combatants Legion No. 13. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Deer Lodge Hospital.
