PEARL HILL In loving memory of Pearl Iris Hill who passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2001 at the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital, Stonewall, MB. Pearl was the youngest daughter of May and Charles Hill and dear sister of Lenore, all predeceased. She leaves to mourn her many relatives, Zena Proudfoot, Derek Hill, Enid Welsh, Mary and Roy Pitney, Doreen and Ivor Green in England. Mary and Bud Sauter, Indianapolis, Murial MacCalum in Boissevain; and her many friends. Pearl worked for the Department of National Defense and in her leisure time was an organist and pianist of many organizations. She was a member of the Valour Road Junior Auxiliary of the Legion. (The members were "Daughters of Veterans.") She was also a member of the St. John Ambulance Division. Pearl was a Past Worthy High Priestess of Althea White Shrine, and served in many capacities for the Order of the Eastern Star "Jepthath Chapter." She was also a member of the Stonewall Church of the Ascension. A funeral service will take place in the Church of the Ascension, Stonewall, Thursday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. John Holmes will officiate. Burial in the family plot at the All Saints Victoria Church Cemetery. A reception will be held in the parish hall at the church of the Ascension, 291 1st West, Stonewall. Many thanks to Wendy, Judy, Edythe, Dorothy, Katherine, May, Muriel, Lucille, Loraine, Ellen, Kay, and Kathy Turner from the health unit. Thank you to the homecare workers. Thank you to Dr. Attallah, Dr. Mohamdee, and Dr. Galbraith. Also thanks to all the nurses and staff of Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital, Stonewall and to Mr. MacKenzie the funeral director.
