BARBARA (BETTY) KEBER (nee SONNLEITNER) Peacefully after a short illness, Betty passed away Monday June 18, 2001 at the Health Sciences Centre. Mom was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1981; son Bob in 1955; sister Anna Urban; brothers, Vincent and Franz. She is survived by her son Alfred (Audrey) daughter Dorothy (Ern) Flight of Comox, BC; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mom was born in 1911 in Karlsdorf, Yugoslavia and came to Canada in 1930. Robert and Betty owned and operated the Winnipeg Garden Centre for many years and had won awards for their beautiful flower beds on Inkster Boulevard. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff on H4 and in the dialysis unit at H.S.C. for the wonderful care they gave Mom and the support they gave the family. At Moms request, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment service. In lieu of flowers, donations would be grate-fully accepted by the Kidney Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to a charity of your choice. A tea will be held in Bettys memory in the Seniors Room at Gable Arms, 1590 Henderson Hwy., on Monday, June 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rest in Peace Nannie - We love you.
