STANLEY WELLINGTON TAYLOR Peacefully on June 18, 2001 at Jocelyn House, Stanley Taylor passed away at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his wife Vira in 1990; his parents; and brother Frank. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Diane Creber; grand-children, Susan and Jason; sister-in-law Edith (Pat) Taylor; and nieces and nephews. Stan was born in Brandon on October 2, 1908 and lived with his parents in Hamiota until after graduation from high school. He joined the Royal Bank in September, 1927 at Strathclair and worked in several branches during his 41 year career, retiring as manager of the Nipigon, ON branch in October, 1968. One of his managerial branches was his home town of Hamiota (1951 - 1961) and during that time he became a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge. Stan served four years with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War in Canada and England. After retirement Stan and his family moved to Winnipeg. There they joined the Wildewood Club where he enjoyed many years of curling and golf. He also bowled at Garry Bowl. A sincere thank-you to the wonderful and caring staff at Jocelyn House. Stan was very comfortable in the last two months there. Cremation has taken place and interment of the ashes with a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. No further service is planned.
