Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER JOHN SQUIRES Peacefully, on Tuesday, June 19, 2001, Walter Squires beloved husband of Clara, passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 82 years. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Clara of 50 years; four sisters-in-law; two nieces; two nephews; several greatnieces; and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Dora Squires. Walter was born in England, September 27, 1918 and came to Canada at the age of six with parents. He attended Isaac Brock, Daniel MacIntyre and Wesley College. He served with the P.P.C.L.I. from 1939 to 1945. He worked with the Federal Government (Unemployed Division) from 1945 to when he retired in 1978. He was a member of the Imperial Vets and Valour Road Legion. A private memorial service will be held. The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for all the care and kindness that was shown to Walter.
