Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDERICK ZIEGENHAGEN With great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Fred Ziegenhagen, aged 84 years, on June 20, 2001. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Judy (Peter) Reimer, Bonnie (Erich) Tuma, Wayne and Karen (Henri) Daudet. He was the proud grandfather of Jennifer, Chris, Ki and Tori Ziegenhagen. Fred will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Lydia; wife Martha; sister Emily and brother Daniel. Fred was born March 14, 1917 in Cooks Creek, MB into one of the pioneering families. He moved to Oakbank where he was a grain farmer and beekeeper all his life. Beekeeping brought him much joy and as such he became one of the founding beekeepers of the area. At one time he kept up to 300 hives and shipped honey as far as British Columbia. In his retirement beekeeping became his hobby which he continued until his passing. He also enjoyed travelling and did so with his family all over North America. He was a kind and gentle person, always cheerful and loved by all who knew him. He will be sadly missed, but always close to our hearts. He had strong faith in the God of the Bible, Jehovah, and his life was centred around teaching others about Gods Kingdom. We look forward to being reunited with him in the Resurrection on a restored paradise Earth, where God "will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Rev. 21:1-4, John 5:28-29. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Assembly Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 227 Lakewood Blvd., Winnipeg. All are welcome. If desired, friends may make a donation to Freds favourite charity, the Anola Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses, Box 4045, Oakbank, MB R0E 1J3, or to a charity of ones choice.
