KERRY GLENN GRANT After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Kerry Glenn Grant, beloved husband of Debbie of two and one-half years on June 20, 2001 at the age of 51. Kerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Debbie, stepdaughter Tracy (Nick) Giancola, stepson Stephen Zurawecki, father George Grant, and sister Maureen (Peter) Timmerman of British Columbia. His mother Audrey predeceased him in January 1999. Kerry was born in Winnipeg April 26, 1950. He was the "First" baby born in the Womens Centre (he married baby no. 2). He will always be remembered as a loyal, loving husband and stepdad. He was employed with Canada Post for 33 years. He will be missed by his many friends who he always had time to share a joke with or lend a hand to. In his early life he tried everything from racing motorcycles to climbing mountains, from flying airplanes to scuba diving. There was nothing too difficult that he would not try. He especially enjoyed his time at his cabin at Beresford Lake. Every moment he had he was up at his "heaven" the cabin. He enjoyed cabin maintenance, swimming, fishing, walking and motoring around in his new quad. Best of all he loved "socializing" with his friends and neighbours. When Kerry was not at the lake you could find him socializing with the "boys" at Georgies. To My "Ker-Bear" A heart of gold stopped beating, Hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the very best. Heartaches in this world are many, But losing you was worse than any. It will be lonely here without you, I will miss you more each day, For life will not be the same for me Since youve been called away. I will always remember The way you looked, The way you walked and smiled, All the things you did for me, Will be with me all the while. You always did your best, Your heart was true and tender, You lived your life for those you loved, And those you loved will remember. "I Love You Kerry!" Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Pat Harris and staff of the Oncology Unit, nursing staff on 2 South of the Grace Hospital, doctors and staff of the Cancer Care Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital and the Cancer Care Unit of the HSC for the excellent care given to Kerry. In keeping with Kerrys wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be in Kerrys memory to the CancerCare Manitoba, ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. There will be a celebration of Kerrys life on Sunday, June 24 at Georgies, 3317 Portage Ave., from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
