DALE BEVERLEY McDOWELL (nee HARVEY) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Dale McDowell, June 18, 2001 at age 55 with family by her side after a brief battle with lymphatic brain cancer. She was predeceased by her father Art Harvey and brother Larry. Dales memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 32 years Don; daughters, Cathy (Ryan), Tracy; son Patrick; mom Pat; sister Tracy (Ron Stelmack, Courtney, Kevin) brothers, Art (Kim, Arthur), Bill (Shelley, Brett, Randi) and in-laws, Art and Agnes McDowell; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. Dale was an exceptionally warm, loving and caring person who gave everything to her family without expecting anything in return. She exemplified what a "MOM" was and always gave unconditional love to her family. Her friends will remember her for the time she spent involved with the community clubs, Maple Leaf and Park City, on the executive hall rentals, Ringette Convener and later President of the Transcona Ringette Association. She was on the executive team that hosted the National Ringette Championships when they were held in Winnipeg. Or the times spent camping out with the Girl Guides at Caddy Lake and other parks around Manitoba. She loved and spent her summers bringing up the kids at the family cottage at Grand Beach. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. We would like to thank her family physician Ed Pilat and the third floor staff at Concordia, the sixth floor and MIC staff at the Health Sciences Centre. According to Dales wishes, cremation has taken place and a small private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dales memory to any charity of your choice.
